Legal Document Effective from the Date of Signing and Issuance?
Pursuant to Clause 48 Article 1 of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents as amended in 2020 (effective from January 1, 2021), it is stipulated:
Legal documents promulgated under simplified order and procedures may take effect from the date of approval or signing of issuance, and must be immediately posted on the electronic information portal of the issuing agency and announced on mass media; published in the Official Gazette of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam no later than 03 days from the date of announcement or signing of issuance for legal documents of central state agencies; published in the Official Gazette of provinces and centrally-run cities no later than 03 days from the date of approval or signing of issuance for legal documents of the People's Councils and People's Committees at provincial level.
According to this regulation, legal documents promulgated under simplified order and procedures may take effect from the date of approval or signing of issuance.
