Is Evaluation Necessary When Transferring Union Activities?
According to Section 4 of Guideline 22HD/TWDTN of 2013, the principles for transferring union activity are stipulated. To be specific:
- Union members who change their residence, workplace, or place of study must transfer their union activity.
- The Union branch, the grassroots union, and the grassroots union branch are responsible for transferring the Union activity for the union members.
Therefore, when you change your workplace, you must transfer your union activity.
The process of transferring union activity is as follows:
- When union members transfer their union activity, they should request the executive committee of the union branch (or grassroots union branch) where they are currently active to facilitate the transfer.
- Responsibilities of the executive committee of the union branch:
+ Evaluate the union member in the Union Member Book and collect union fees up to the point of transferring union activity (in case the union member is active in the grassroots union branch, the executive committee of the grassroots union branch evaluates, collects union fees, and directly conducts the transfer procedures for the union member).
+ Introduce the union member to the grassroots union to continue the transfer procedures.
+ Receive the union members introduced by the grassroots union or the grassroots union branch for activity.
- Responsibilities of the grassroots union and grassroots union branch:
+ In case the union member transfers union activity within the same grassroots union, the executive committee of the grassroots union introduces the union member to the new union branch for activity.
+ In case the union member transfers union activity to a different grassroots union, the executive committee of the grassroots union introduces the union member to the executive committee of the new grassroots union.
+ When receiving union members introduced from other places, the executive committee of the grassroots union introduces the union member to the affiliated union branch for activity.
Therefore, when you transfer union activity, the executive committee of the union branch must evaluate the union member in the Union Member Book and collect union fees up to the point of transferring union activity.
