According to the information you provided, you have eczema. This is a condition that is rated 6 on the Health Classification Table. If only one indicator is rated 6, your health will be classified as Category 6. You are not fit for military service because your health must be Category 1, 2, or 3 (with no refractive errors in the eyes) to be eligible for military service.

I'm the only one who directly take care of my aunt. Am I deferred from military service in Vietnam?
Answer:
Clause 1, Article 41 of the Law on Military Service in 2015, as supplemented by Point c, Clause 1, Article 49 of the Law on Militia and Self-defense Forces in 2019, stipulates the following persons are eligible for deferment from military service:

- The only worker who must directly take care of a dependent who is unable to work or has not reached the working age; in a family that has suffered heavy losses in terms of people and property due to accidents, natural disasters, or dangerous diseases caused by the pandemic, as confirmed by the People's Committee of the commune;

Currently, there is no specific document defining who are included in the term "dependent" in this field. Therefore, the case of a person who is the only one taking care of his aunt will be considered and decided by the competent authority.
Can students on break be deferred from military service in Vietnam?
Hello Lawnet. I am currently a university student but I want to take a break to transfer to another school next year to study again. Can you tell me if I am eligible for deferment from military service?
Answer:
According to Point g, Clause 1, Article 41 of the Law on Military Service in 2015, as supplemented by Point c, Clause 1, Article 49 of the Law on Militia and Self-defense Forces in 2019, the following persons are eligible for deferment from military service:
g) Those who are studying at a regular full-time school; those who are being trained at the university level in a regular full-time program at a university, and those who are being trained at the college level in a regular full-time program at a vocational education institution during the time of one training course of a training program.
In your case, you are on break from school. Your leave of absence does not count as time spent studying at school, so you are not eligible for deferment from military service.
Best regards!
