According to Article 19 of the Law on Citizen Identification 2014, the following provisions are made:
- Vietnamese citizens aged 14 and above are issued with a Citizen Identification Card.
- The Citizen Identification Card number is the personal identification number.
And in Article 2 of Circular 06/2021/TT-BCA, the provisions regarding the subjects eligible for the issuance of a chip-based Citizen Identification Card are Vietnamese citizens aged 14 and above who are required to undergo procedures for the issuance, renewal, and re-issuance of the Citizen Identification Card.
According to this provision, the age eligible for the issuance of a Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) is 14 years and above. In your case, born on February 18, 2007, you are now 14 years old. Therefore, you are eligible to be issued a chip-based CCCD.
