Is a Family with Two Generations in the Police Force Exempt from Military Service?
Based on Clause 2, Article 41 of the 2015 Law on Military Service, which stipulates exemptions from conscription for the following citizens:
- Child of a martyr, child of a category one war invalid;
- A brother or sister of a martyr;
- A child of a category two war invalid; a child of a person with a work capacity reduction of 81% or more due to illness or disability; a child of a person exposed to Agent Orange with a work capacity reduction of 81% or more;
- Persons working in cryptographic operations who are not military personnel, People's Police officers;
- Officials and public employees, youth volunteers who are assigned to work in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions according to legal regulations for 24 months or more.
Therefore, according to the above regulations, there is no provision for exemption from military service for families with two generations serving in the police force as you mentioned. As a result, in this case, you are still required to participate in military service when called upon.
Sincerely!
