Based on Article 11 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Law 2015 on the traditional day and the National Great Unity Day:
Article 11. Traditional Day and National Great Unity Day
November 18 each year is the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the National Great Unity Day.
Aiming to promote the tradition of the Unified National Front of Vietnam, in 1986, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the 6th Congress decided to designate November 18, 1930 - the day the Communist Party initiated the establishment of the Unified Front, as the traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Since then, every year on November 18, the Front has set a program, content, and diverse activities to commemorate the historical tradition of the Unified National Front of Vietnam.
On August 1, 2003, the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front issued Resolution No. 04/NQ/DCT-MTTW regarding the organization of the “National Great Unity Day” and decided to hold this day annually on November 18, as a day to organize the National Great Unity Day in residential areas to continue to build, consolidate, and promote the strength of national unity and enhance the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the new period.
Thus, in 2024, it will commemorate 94 years of the National Great Unity Day.

What are activities included in the national unity bloc in Vietnam?
Based on Article 14 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Law 2015 on cooperation to build the national great unity bloc:
Article 14. Cooperation in building the national great unity bloc
- The Vietnam Fatherland Front cooperates with state agencies to build the national great unity bloc through the following activities:
a) Propose, participate in building, and implementing policies and laws related to gathering and building the national great unity bloc;
b) Lead, cooperate, participate in organizing activities related to the rights and responsibilities of its organization;
c) Engage in dialogue, reconciliation, build self-managed communities in residential areas;
d) Participate in the construction and implementation of the state's social welfare policies; propose, participate in programs, movements, and campaigns that contribute to the material and spiritual care of the people.

Thus, building the national great unity bloc through the following activities:
- Propose, participate in building, and implementing policies and laws related to gathering and building the national great unity bloc
- Lead, cooperate, participate in organizing activities related to the rights and responsibilities of its organization
- Engage in dialogue, reconciliation, build self-managed communities in residential areas
- Participate in the construction and implementation of the state's social welfare policies; propose, participate in programs, movements, and campaigns that contribute to the material and spiritual care of the people
- The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organizes or cooperates with state agencies to organize national, comprehensive, nationwide movements and patriotic emulation campaigns
- The local Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organizes or cooperates with state agencies to organize local patriotic emulation movements and campaigns
- Member organizations of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organize or cooperate with state agencies to organize patriotic emulation campaigns and movements related to the rights and responsibilities of their organization; gather, motivate members and people to participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee
- The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organizes suitable forms to mobilize and promote the pivotal role of individual prominent members in the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front
Which agency has the right and responsibility to gather and build the national great unity bloc in Vietnam?
Based on Article 3 of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Law 2015 on the rights and responsibilities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front:
Article 3. Rights and responsibilities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front
- Gather, build the national great unity bloc, implement democracy, strengthen social consensus.
- Propagate, mobilize the people to exercise their rights as masters, implement the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, policies, and laws of the State.
- Represent, protect the legal and legitimate rights and interests of the people.
