Pursuant to Subsection 27.1 Section 27 Regulation 24-QD/TW 2021 regulations on rewards for party organizations and party members:

27.1.2. For party members: Praise, award certificates of merit, certificates of merit, Party badges for 30 years, 40 years, 45 years, 50 years, 55 years, 60 years, 65 years, 70 years, 75 years, 80 years, 85 years, 90 years old party; award medals, medals and other honorary titles of the Party and State.

In addition, in Section 18 of Instruction 01-HD/TW 2021, instructions on giving Party badges:

Giving the Party Badge

18.1. Party members who are 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 years old will be considered for the Party Badge.

Party members with serious illness are considered for early awarding of badges 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 years old, but the time for early consideration must not exceed 12 months compared to the prescribed time; Party members can be considered for early awarding of badges for 70, 75, 80, 85, and 90 years of party membership, but the time for early awarding cannot be more than 24 months compared to the prescribed time.

18.2. Deceased Party members are considered for early posthumous award of the Party Badge, but the time for early posthumous consideration must not exceed 12 months compared to the prescribed time.

18.3. The level of gifts accompanying the Party Badge shall comply with the regulations of the Secretariat and the Instructions of the Party Central Office.

18.4. Awarding, using and managing the Party Badge

- The awarding of the Party Badge is organized promptly on the occasion of the major holidays of February 3; May 19; 2/9; November 7 and other important anniversaries at grassroots party organizations. In special cases, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee shall consider and decide.

- Party members use the Party Badge on Party and national holidays, in Party congresses and conferences, and to celebrate their own Party membership.

- Party members are given the Party Badge when they die, and the Party member's family can keep the Party Badge as a souvenir.

- If a Party member loses the Party Badge, if there is a legitimate reason, he or she will be considered for re-issue of the Party Badge.

- Party members who are removed from the Party must return the Party Badge to the party organization.

Thus, Party members with 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 years of party age will be considered for the Party Badge and accompanying bonus in Vietnam.

What is bonus level based on Party member's age in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Subsection 2, Section 4, Instruction 56-HD/VPTW 2015 stipulates the bonus level attached to the Party Badge of Party members as follows:

- 30-year Party badge: bonus equal to 1.5 times the base salary equivalent to 2,700,000 VND.

- 40-year Party badge: bonus equal to 2.0 times the base salary equivalent to 3,600,000 VND.

- 50-year Party badge: bonus equal to 3.0 times the base salary equivalent to 5,400,000 VND.

- 55-year Party badge: bonus equal to 3.5 times the base salary equivalent to 6,300,000 VND.

- 60-year Party badge: bonus equal to 5.0 times the base salary equivalent to 9,000,000 VND.

- 65-year Party badge: bonus equal to 6.0 times the base salary equivalent to 10,800,000 VND.

- 70-year Party badge: bonus equal to 8.0 times the base salary equivalent to 14,400,000 VND.

- 75-year Party badge: bonus equal to 10.0 times the base salary equivalent to 18,000,000 VND.

- 80-year Party badge: bonus equal to 15.0 times the base salary equivalent to 27,000,000 VND.

Note: The current base salary is 1,800,000 VND/month (according to Decree 24/2023/ND-CP )

When is calculation of Party member age in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Article 5 of the 2011 Charter of the Communist Party of Vietnam regulating the Party and basic issues of Party building:

1. People admitted to the Party must undergo a twelve-month preparatory period, counted from the date the Party cell holds the admission ceremony. During the preparatory period, the Party cell continues to educate, train and assign official party members to help that party member progress.

2. At the end of the preparatory period, the Party cell considers recognizing official party members one by one and votes as when considering admission; If you do not qualify as a party member, you can request the competent party committee to decide to remove your name from the list of reserve party members.

3. The cell's resolution on the request to recognize official party members must be decided by the competent party committee.

4. Once a Party member has been officially recognized, the party member's party age is calculated from the date recorded in the admission decision.

According to the above regulations in Vietnam, the Party member's age is calculated from the date the Party member is officially recognized as recorded in the admission decision.
