Under Section VI of the standardization program for professional titles of librarians issued together with Decision 830/QD-BVHTTDL in 2023, there are 14 topics as follows:

Topic 1: Political system of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (16 periods)

Topic 2: The Communist Party's viewpoints and guidelines, the State's policies and laws on libraries (16 periods)

Topic 3: Strategies for development of culture and libraries (8 periods)

Topic 4: State management of libraries (8 periods)

Topic 5: Developing reading culture in the community (16 periods)

Topic 6: National standard system in library activities (12 periods)

Topic 7: Application of information technology and digital transformation in library activities (16 periods)

Topic 8: Communication and advocacy in library activities (16 periods)

Topic 9: Equipping information users with information knowledge (16 periods)

Topic 10: Organizing events in library activities (16 periods)

Topic 11: Organization and management of modern libraries (16 periods)

Topic 12: Evaluation of library activities (8 hours)

Topic 13: New problems in library activities (16 periods)

Under Subsection 1.b Part III Section VI of the standardization program for professional titles of librarians issued together with Decision 830/QD-BVHTTDL in 2023 stipulating requirements for writing essays as follows:

Writing Essays

a) Purpose

- It is the part of the collection of knowledge and skills obtained from the professional training program according to the library professional title standards for a period of 6 weeks.

- Evaluate the level of learning outcomes of students achieved through the Program.

- Assess the ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills into practice at the working position of the librarian title.

b) Request

- At the end of the course, each student writes an Essay related to the job they are undertaking, which states the acquired knowledge and skills, analyzes current work and proposes to apply it to work.

- Specific requirements and instructions will be notified to students at the beginning of the course.

- Comply with the requirements of an Essay

+ The length must not exceed 20 A4 pages (excluding the cover page, references and appendices), using the font Times New Roman, font size 14.

+ Writing style/style: There is analysis and evaluation, the opinions expressed need clear data and evidence.

+ The citations must be described in accordance with regulations for theses and dissertation references of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Thus, in order to assess the level of learning and applying knowledge and skills into practice, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism requires:

Under Subsection 2.a Part III Section VI of the standardization program for professional titles of librarians issued together with Decision 830/QD-BVHTTDL in 2023 stipulating purpose of organizing and arranging practice trips for students as follows:

Practice Trips

a) Purpose

- Observe and exchange work experience through practice at a specific unit.

- Helps to connect theory with practice.

b) Request

- The lecturer builds an observation board for students to record during the field trip.

- Students prepare questions or issues that need clarification during the field trip.

- Training and retraining institutions arrange organization and arrange field trips for students.

- Agencies and units of trainees come to practice to prepare experience reports and create conditions for students to exchange and share practical experiences.

Thus, the purpose of organizing and arranging internships for trainees is to observe and exchange practical work experiences at a specific unit and help connect theory with practice.
