Graduates with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry permitted to serve as school clerks?
According to Clause 4, Article 6 of Circular 14/2014/TT-BNV, the Standards for Educational Attainment and Training for the Position of Clerk are as follows:
- Possessing a university degree or higher in archival clerical specialization. If one graduates in another field, they must have a supplementary professional certification in clerical work;
- Having a certification in state management and clerical professions;
- Possessing a foreign language certificate at level 2 (or equivalent) of the Vietnamese Foreign Language Competency Framework as stipulated in Circular No. 01/2014/TT-BGDDT dated January 24, 2014, issued by the Ministry of Education and Training promulgating the 6-level Foreign Language Competency Framework for Vietnam, or possessing a ethnic language certificate for positions requiring the use of an ethnic language;
- Having an IT certificate with proficiency meeting the basic IT standards as stipulated in Circular No. 03/2014/TT-BTTTT dated March 11, 2014, issued by the Ministry of Information and Communications on IT Proficiency Standards.
Thus, if you graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry and accounting and want to switch to a clerical position, you need a supplementary professional certification in clerical work and certifications in state management and clerical professions, as well as other conditions outlined in Circular 14/2014/TT-BNV.
