Functions of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Negative Phenomena
As stipulated in Article 2 of Regulation 67-QD/TW of 2022, the functions of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Negative Phenomena are as follows:
The Provincial Steering Committee, established by the provincial party standing committee or the central city party standing committee, is responsible to the provincial party standing committee or the central city party standing committee and the Central Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Negative Phenomena (abbreviated as Central Steering Committee) for directing, coordinating, urging, inspecting, and supervising anti-corruption and negative phenomena efforts within the province or central city (collectively referred to as the local level).
Scope of Direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Negative Phenomena
As stipulated in Article 3 of Regulation 67-QD/TW of 2022, the scope of direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Negative Phenomena is as follows:
Directing anti-corruption efforts and preventing negative phenomena, with a focus on political ideology, morality, and lifestyle degeneration among cadres, party members, officials, and public employees, especially at the leadership and management levels in the locality.
Directly directing the handling of complex corruption and negative cases that attract social concern occurring in the locality under the regulations of the Communist Party and the laws of the State.
Working Principles of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Negative Phenomena
As stipulated in Article 4 of Regulation 67-QD/TW of 2022, the working principles of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-corruption and Negative Phenomena are as follows:
The Provincial Steering Committee is under the direct and regular leadership and direction of the provincial party standing committee or the central city party standing committee; at the same time, it is under the leadership and direction of the Central Steering Committee in anti-corruption and negative phenomena efforts at the local level.
The Provincial Steering Committee works on the principle of democratic centralism; collective discussion, Head of the Committee's conclusion, and direction for implementation.
The Provincial Steering Committee operates according to the assigned functions, tasks, and powers; complies with the regulations of the Communist Party and the laws of the State; respects and does not obstruct the normal activities, nor substitute for the duties of authorities, organizations, units, or individuals with jurisdiction in anti-corruption and negative phenomena efforts.
