Duties of the District Military Service Council According to Previous Regulations

In Article 26 of the 1981 Military Service Law, it is stipulated that the Military Service Council of the district, urban district, district-level town, city under provincial authority is responsible for assisting the People's Committee with:

1. Organizing medical examinations for individuals eligible for conscription;

2. Preparing a list of citizens to be conscripted, deferred, or exempted from military service;

3. Urging relevant agencies and organizations to comply with policies relating to military enlistment support in the local area;

4. Directing the activities of the Military Service Council of the commune, ward, commune-level town.
