Duties of a Grade III Librarian

What are the duties of a Grade III Librarian?

According to Clause 1, Article 6 of Circular 02/2022/TT-BVHTTDL (effective from August 15, 2022), the duties of a Grade III Librarian are as follows:

a) Developing annual plans for assigned library professional tasks and organizing implementation after approval;

b) Performing library professional and operational activities as assigned;

c) Participating in research and applying scientific and technological achievements in library activities.

What are the duties of a Grade IV Librarian?

According to Clause 1, Article 7 of Circular 02/2022/TT-BVHTTDL (effective from August 15, 2022), the duties of a Grade IV Librarian are as follows:

a) Processing information resources, including: Technical processing, formal processing, organizing information resources with simple, common content;

b) Organizing information resources including: Organizing various types of documents in the library's repository and performing manual procedures in preserving various types of documents;

c) Participating in inventory, filtering information resources as assigned;

d) Directly serving library users.

What are the standards for training and retraining qualifications for a Grade III Librarian?

Based on Clause 2, Article 6 of Circular 02/2022/TT-BVHTTDL (effective from August 15, 2022) the standards for training and retraining qualifications for a Grade III Librarian are as follows:

a) Holding a university degree or higher in the field of information - library. In cases of holding a university degree or higher in another field, a certificate in supplementary knowledge, professional skills in the field of information - library issued by a competent agency or organization is required;

b) Holding a certificate in professional title standards for public employees in the field of library.
