Duties and Responsibilities of the Platoon Leader of the Militia and Self-Defense Unit

Responsibilities and Duties of the Squad Leader of the Militia Unit as prescribed in Clause 1 and Clause 2, Article 14 of Circular No. 29/2020/TT-BQP

Regulations on the work relationship of the Commune Military Command, Ward, Commune-level Town; Military Command of agencies and organizations at the grassroots; responsibilities, duties, work relations of officials of the Ministry-level Military Command, Central Ministry-level; Commune Military Command, Ward, Commune-level Town, Village Command Leader, Military Command of agencies and organizations at the grassroots; Unit commanders of the Militia issued by the Ministry of National Defense:

1. Responsibilities

Be responsible before the law, the party committee (cell), the commander, the political commissar, the senior political officer, and their respective party committee (cell) for the construction, training, and activities of the Militia under their command.

2. Duties

- Command the Militia unit under their authority to implement the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, the policies and laws of the State, leadership resolutions of the party committee (cell), the management, and administration of the People's Committees at various levels or the head of the agency, organization; orders and directives from senior commanders as per the administrative hierarchy;

- Be well-informed about all situations, develop plans, submit them to the competent authority for approval; organize the implementation of tasks related to the construction, training, readiness for combat, combat, combat service, civil defense, and the policies of the Militia unit under their management;

- Register, manage, and understand the political, ideological, competency, and capability levels of the commanding officers and Militia soldiers under their control;

- Battalion commanders, fleet commanders, company commanders, and squadron commanders shall cooperate with political officers at the same level to carry out party work and political work for their unit;

- Inspect, coordinate inspections, preliminarily and summarily review, and report as prescribed.
