Duties and Powers of the Department of Justice as Prescribed
The duties and powers of the Department of Justice are stipulated in Clause 5, Article 1 of Decree 107/2020/ND-CP. To be specific:
Advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in state management regarding: Lawmaking and law enforcement activities; monitoring of law enforcement; inspection and handling of normative legal documents; dissemination and education of the law; legal affairs; notarization, authentication; adoption; commercial arbitration; civil status; nationality; judicial records; state compensation; lawyers, legal advice; legal aid; judicial expertise; grassroots mediation; asset auctions; management of law enforcement activities related to administrative violations and other judicial matters as prescribed by law.
