Duties and Powers of the Department of Home Affairs: Regulations and Provisions
The duties and powers of the Department of Home Affairs are stipulated in Clause 5, Article 1, Decree 107/2020/ND-CP. To be specific:
Advising and assisting the Provincial People's Committee in performing the state management functions on the following: Organizational structure; job positions, staffing levels of officials, and the rank structure of officials in state administrative agencies and organizations; job positions, and the structure of public employees according to professional titles and the number of people working in public service providers; salaries for officials and public employees, contracted labor in administrative agencies, organizations, and public service providers; administrative reform, reform of official policies, and public service; local government; administrative boundaries; officials and public employees; officials at the commune level and non-specialized personnel at the commune level, in villages, and residential groups; training and fostering of officials and public employees and commune-level officials; associations, non-governmental organizations; state archives and documentation; beliefs, religions; youth affairs; emulation and commendation.
