Conditions to Serve in the Guard Forces
Pursuant to Article 17 of the Law on Guard Force 2017, the standards and conditions are stipulated as follows:
- Vietnamese citizens from the age of 18, regardless of gender, possessing political qualities, ethics, health, clear personal backgrounds, and willing to serve long-term in the Guard Force.
- Possessing diplomas, technical and professional certificates, and talents or skills appropriate for the specialized nature of guard duty.
- The Minister of Public Security and the Minister of National Defense shall specify the standards for recruiting individuals into the Guard Force.
The above are the standards and conditions for being a guard.
