Conditions for Issuing the Certificate of Registration for Establishing a Representative Office of a Foreign Non-Governmental Organization

Conditions for Issuance of a Registration Certificate for Establishing a Representative Office of a Foreign Non-Governmental Organization are stipulated in Clause 1, Article 12 of Decree 12/2012/ND-CP on the registration and management of activities of foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam, as follows:

Foreign non-governmental organizations wishing to register for the establishment of a Representative Office in Vietnam must meet the following conditions:

- Must have been issued an Activity Registration Certificate as stipulated in Article 6 of this Decree.

- Must have a long-term commitment to operations through programs and projects that have been approved by competent authorities in Vietnam.

- Must have effectively operated in Vietnam for at least two years.

- The Representative Office can only be located in one of the three cities: Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City.
