Conditions for Extending Active Service Age for Professional Military Personnel

Professional servicemen may have their active duty age extended if they meet the conditions stipulated in Clause 1, Article 1 of Circular 12/2021/TT-BQP. To be specific:

Professional servicemen covered under Clause 1 of this Article may have their active duty age extended if they meet the following conditions:

- The unit has an organizational structure and the need for utilization;

- They have reached the maximum active duty age limit according to their military rank as stipulated in Clause 2, Article 17 of the Law on Professional Servicemen, Defense Workers, and Public Employees; no replacement is available; they voluntarily continue to serve on active duty;

- They possess sufficient political, ethical, and health qualities to complete assigned tasks;

- They have excellent technical and professional qualifications; high skill levels; good work quality and efficiency.
