Communist Party Members Failing to Provide Child Support After Divorce Shall Be Expelled?
At Clause 3, Article 24 of Regulation 102-QD/TW in 2017, it is stipulated:
In cases where the violations specified in Clause 1, Clause 2 of this Article cause very serious consequences or violate one of the following cases, disciplinary action shall be in the form of expulsion:
- Violation of the regulations prohibiting marriage, violation of monogamous marriage policies.
- Coercing the wife (or husband), children to engage in unethical or illegal acts not to the extent of criminal prosecution.
- Refusal to perform, or failure to perform obligations of providing alimony to parents, or providing child support after divorce according to the provisions of the law.
=> Therefore, if a party member fails to fulfill their child support obligations after divorce, they will be expelled from the party.
