Chairman of a Ward in Ho Chi Minh City: What are the Responsibilities?
Based on Article 21 of Decree 33/2021/ND-CP, the content is stipulated as follows:
The Chairman of the ward is the head of the Ward People's Committee, responsible before the law and the Chairman of the district, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the city subordinate to Ho Chi Minh City, for the performance of the tasks and powers of the Ward People's Committee.
Directly use and manage the ward's official as stipulated in this Decree and according to the decentralization and authorization of the People's Committee, the Chairman of the district, the Chairman of the People's Committee of the city subordinate to Ho Chi Minh City.
The Chairman of the ward is responsible for the comprehensive management of all activities of the Ward People's Committee.
Sign documents of the Ward People's Committee with the title Chairman, the head of the state administrative agency in the ward, and be responsible for the documents of the Ward People's Committee.
Fulfill the obligations of an official and comply with the regulations on the matters officials are not allowed to do as prescribed in the Law on Cadres and Officials and other relevant legal provisions.
