Certification of Signatures on Documents and Papers in Foreign Languages: Regulations and Guidelines
In Article 12 of Circular 01/2020/TT-BTP, stipulations regarding the authentication of signatures on documents in foreign languages are specified as follows:
- When authenticating signatures on documents in foreign languages, if the person receiving the application or the person performing the authentication does not fully understand the content of the document, they should request that the individual seeking authentication submits a Vietnamese translation of the document.
- The Vietnamese translation does not need to be notarized or have the translator's signature authenticated, but the individual requesting authentication must be responsible for the accuracy of the translation.
