Can the Principal of a Preschool Sign Commendation Certificates for Their Teachers?
Pursuant to Point c, Clause 4, Article 16 of the Charter of Preschools issued together with Decision No. 14/2008/QD-BGDDT, the Principal of preschools has the authority to commend teachers and staff.
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 74 of the 2003 Law on Emulation and Commendation, certificates of merit are awarded to individuals who achieve regular or extraordinary accomplishments.
And according to Clause 41, Article 1 of the Amended Law on Emulation and Commendation 2013, certificates of merit include certificates of merit from the heads of agencies and units under ministries and sectors.
Therefore, the Principal, as the head of the preschool, has the authority to sign certificates of merit for the teachers of their school in accordance with the above regulations.
