Can Militia Members Take College Entrance Exams?
Article 5 of the Regulations issued with Circular 09/2020/TT-BGDDT only stipulates the conditions for university entrance exams for officers, non-commissioned officers in the army, and police officers currently on duty. As for the militia, if they meet the educational, age, and other conditions of the institution, they are still eligible to take the university entrance exams. You can refer to more information: Conditions for university entrance exam registration
And in Clause 1, Article 12 of the Militia and Self-Defense Law 2019, it is stipulated:
The militia is released from its duty to participate in the Militia and Self-Defense force ahead of schedule in the following cases:
...
- Has a notice of admission and enrolling in a university, vocational education institution, school of a state agency, political organization, or socio-political organization; persons with an admission notice and going to work, study, or work abroad
=> Thus, according to the above regulations, a person who is currently a militia member has the right to take university entrance exams. Taking the exam is not bound by any regulation. If they pass the exam, they will be released from their duty as a militia member.
Sincerely.
