Can Conscription Police Officers Be Considered for Transfer to Professional Status?
Based on the information you provided, you fall under the category of citizens selected to perform the obligation of participating in the People's Police as prescribed in Article 4 of the Decree 70/2019/ND-CP.
According to the information you provided, you are unable to participate in the entrance exam for the People's Police schools.
Therefore, based on Article 9 of the Decree 70/2019/ND-CP, which stipulates the transition to professional service policies for non-commissioned officers and conscripted soldiers, there are two cases:
For the case where you have served in the military for 15 months to less than 24 months counted to the time of the exam, and meet the following conditions:
- Annual classification results meet the task completion standards or higher.
- Ensure to meet the standards and conditions for professional service policies in the People's Police.
If you meet the above conditions, you will be considered for selection and admission to academies and schools of the People's Police according to the People's Police recruitment regulations.
For other cases, upon the conclusion of your in-service term, if you meet the standards and the People's Police requires your services, and if you volunteer, you will be considered for transitioning to professional service policies.
The standards and rate for transitioning to professional service policies for non-commissioned officers who have completed their in-service term follow the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.
If you fall under the second case and the People's Police does not require your services at the time you complete your police obligation, you must be demobilized in accordance with Article 10 of the Decree 70/2019/ND-CP.
