Can a 53-year-old be the president of the Veterans Association?
According to Clause 3, Article 6, Standards for commune, ward, and town officials issued under Decision 04/2004/QD-BNV, specific standards for the position of Chairman of the Veterans Association are as follows:
+ Not exceeding 65 years old when taking office.
+ Education: Holding at least a junior high school diploma in the plains areas, and at least a primary school diploma in the mountainous areas.
+ Political theory: Having at least elementary level or equivalent and higher.
+ Specialization and professional skills: Having been trained and fostered in the specialization and professional skills for the field of work that the official is currently undertaking with at least elementary level or higher.
Based on the above regulations, you are currently 53 years old and can still serve as Chairman of the Veterans Association. However, you must meet the conditions stipulated above.
