Can a 33-year-old Grade I specialized doctor register for recruitment into the police force in Vietnam?

Pursuant to Clause 4, Article 5 of Circular 55/2019/TT-BCA, the age of citizens eligible for recruitment into the police force is regulated as follows:

From the age of 18 to under 30 (calculated as of the date of the recruitment decision); citizens with a Ph.D., Specialized Doctor Grade I, Specialized Doctor Grade II, resident doctors, Doctor of Pharmacy Specialist Grade I, Doctor of Pharmacy Specialist Grade II in medical and pharmaceutical fields, and cases specified in Clause 1, Article 3 of this Circular are eligible for recruitment up to 35 years of age, titles of professor and associate professor are eligible for recruitment up to 40 years of age.

Therefore, in your case, currently a Grade I specialized doctor, you are eligible for recruitment into the police force until the age of 35, so you still meet the age requirement for recruitment into the police force as per the regulations.

Application

The application is stipulated in Clause 1, Article 9 of this Circular as follows:

- A voluntary application to serve in the People's Public Security;

- A self-declared Curriculum Vitae (as per the Ministry of Public Security's form) with certification from the People's Committee at the commune, ward, or commune-level town of permanent residence within 30 days, up to the date of dossier submission as per regulations;

- A copy of the birth certificate;

- A copy (certified) of professional qualifications, technical certifications, and academic transcripts for the entire course;

In case the qualifications, certifications, and transcripts are issued by foreign educational institutions, they must be translated into Vietnamese and recognized as equivalent by the competent authority as per legal provisions;

- Certificate of Union membership, Communist Party membership (if any);

- Certified copy of verification of subjects at points d, dd Clause 1, Article 7 of this Circular;

- Health certificate issued by a district-level or higher hospital within 30 days up to the date of dossier submission as per regulations;

- Photos 4cm x 6cm: 04 colored photos taken within 6 months up to the date of dossier submission.
