Authority of the Political Commissar of the Military Region in Disciplinary Actions for Violations in National Defense

According to Clause 9, Article 45 of Circular 16/2020/TT-BQP, the political commissars of military regions, commanders, armed services, Border Guard, corps; Directors, Political Commissars of the General Departments of Logistics, Technical, Defense Industry, General Department II; Chief Inspector of the Ministry of National Defense and equivalents are authorized to:

- Reprimand up to division commanders, division political commissars; commanders, political commissars of naval regions; commanders-in-chief, political commissars of provincial (municipal) military commands; Provincial (municipal) Border Guards and equivalents;

- Warn up to regimental commanders, brigade commanders, regimental political commissars, brigade political commissars and equivalents, officers up to the rank of colonel (except for positions stipulated in Point a of this Clause);

- Demote salary grades, downgrade ranks up to lieutenant colonel for officials, defense workers, and public employees with a salary coefficient below 6.20;

- Demote or dismiss up to regimental commanders, brigade commanders; regimental political commissars, brigade political commissars; commanders-in-chief, political officers of district-level military commands.
