Are students excelling for three consecutive years exempt from military service?
Based on the provisions of Clause 2 Article 41 of the 2015 Military Service Law regarding cases that are exempt from participating in military service as follows:
- Children of martyrs, children of first-class wounded soldiers;
- One brother or one sister of martyrs;
- One child of second-class wounded soldiers; one child of sick soldiers whose working capacity is reduced by 81% or more; one child of people affected by Agent Orange whose working capacity is reduced by 81% or more;
- People engaged in cryptographic work who are not members of the military or the Public Security forces;
- Officials and public employees, and youth volunteers who are assigned to work or serve in areas with specially difficult socio-economic conditions as prescribed by law for 24 months or more.
Therefore, if you do not fall into one of the above cases, you will not be exempt from participating in military service. Even if your child achieves high academic performance as you mentioned above.
Respectfully!
