Are female citizens allowed to perform military service in Vietnam?

My name is Hanh Nhi, I want to register for military service and have questions that I would like to ask you to answer. Specifically, let me ask: Are female citizens automatically allowed to perform military service? Is this issue mentioned in any legal documents? Hope to receive a response soon. Sincerely thank!

Regarding this issue, Clause 2, Article 6 of the 2015 Military Service Law has following provisions:

"Any female citizen at the age for military service in peacetime may perform military service in regular armed force if such citizen volunteers and on the demand of the armed force."

Thus, according to this regulation in Vietnam, not every female citizen who registers for military service will be able to serve on active duty, because the active military service of female citizens also depends on the needs of the military

Above is the answer about female citizens serving on active duty in the military. You can find out more information about this issue at the 2015 Military Service Law in Vietnam.

Clause 2, Article 6 of the 2015 Military Service Law stipulates:

"Any female citizen at the age for military service in peacetime may perform military service in regular armed force if such citizen volunteers and on the demand of the armed force."

And according to the provisions of Article 30 of the 2015 Military Service Law:

Citizens turning to 18 years old shall be conscripted into the army. Age subject to conscription is from 18 to under 26 years old. A citizen who enters university or college and postpones the conscription shall be subject to conscription until he/she turns to 28 years old.

Thus, according to this regulation in Vietnam, if you were born in 2002, you are currently still of military enlistment age. If you need to, you can submit an application to the Commune Military Command. When you meet the recruitment standards, you can be conscripted into the army.
