Are Border Guard Officers Allocated Land for Settlement?

I am a border guard officer currently working at the border. I would like to know when I will be allocated land for settlement. Additionally, are there any other incentives for border guard officers?

Are border guard officers granted land for settlement?

According to Clause 1, Article 4 of Decree 106/2021/ND-CP guiding the Law on Vietnam Border Guard (effective from January 21, 2022), the regulation is as follows:

Officers, professional soldiers, workers, and public employees of the National Defense under the Border Guard force who perform tasks of protecting borders and islands for a period of 05 years or more, if they need to move their families to settle and stabilize their lives in border areas and islands, will be given priority in being allocated homestead land by local authorities where they move to according to the land law; they will also be assisted with housing for their families and employment for their spouses and are entitled to other policies according to regulations.

From January 21, 2022, if you have worked for 05 years or more at the borders and islands and have the need to move your family to settle and stabilize your life in the border areas and islands, you will be prioritized in being allocated land or assisted with housing.

Preferential policies and special policies for border guard officers

In addition to the above-mentioned preferential treatment, border guard officers also enjoy other preferential policies as stipulated in Clauses 2, 3, and 4 of this Article as follows:

- Officers and soldiers of the Border Guard, besides enjoying policies on salary, allowances, and other policies in the Army, also enjoy border and island protection responsibility allowances during the period they directly manage and protect the borders and islands.

- Officers, professional soldiers, workers, and public employees of the National Defense under the Border Guard force who have continuously worked for 05 years or more in border, island, or archipelago areas, monthly receive a long-term service allowance in border and island areas. In cases where the long-term service allowance in border and island areas is stipulated in multiple documents, only the highest level of the allowance is applied as per the policy.

- Border Guard officers and professional soldiers working as enhanced officers in border communes with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions monthly receive an additional concurrent duty allowance and annual health care allowance according to regulations.

Respectfully!
