Funding for Compensation, Support, and Resettlement: What Are the Included Items?

Based on Article 32 of Decree 47/2014/ND-CP, it is stipulated as follows:

Funding for compensation, support, and resettlement includes: Money for compensation, support, and resettlement for land recovery to implement investment projects, costs to ensure the organization of compensation, support, resettlement, and other related costs.

The determination of compensation, support, and resettlement funds must align with the compensation, support, and resettlement plans approved by competent authorities. Funding for compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovers land for project implementation is regulated as follows:

- The cost of implementing compensation, support, and resettlement is included in the cost of implementing the investment project;

- Ministries and sectors are responsible for ensuring the funding for compensation, support, and resettlement for investment projects under the investment policy decision authority of the National Assembly; approval, investment decision of the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam but implemented by Ministries and sectors, and projects for which Ministries and sectors are the investors;

- The Provincial People's Committee is responsible for ensuring funding for compensation, support, and resettlement for projects under the decision-making authority of the Provincial People's Council.

The above are the costs when the State implements compensation, support, and resettlement in accordance with the law.
