Does the District People's Committee Keep the Administrative Boundary Records of the Commune People's Committee?
Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 29 of the Land Law 2013, regulations on administrative boundaries are as follows:
The administrative boundary dossier includes documents in paper form and digital form, reflecting information about the establishment, adjustment of administrative units, boundary markers, and boundary lines of that administrative unit.
The administrative boundary dossier of the lower-level unit is confirmed by the directly superior People’s Committee; the administrative boundary dossier of a province or centrally-run city is confirmed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The administrative boundary dossier of any level is stored at the People’s Committee of that level, the superior People’s Committee, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
Thus, according to the above regulations, the administrative boundary dossier of any level is stored at the People’s Committee of that level and the superior People’s Committee. Therefore, the dossier at the commune-level People’s Committee is still retained at the district-level People’s Committee.
Sincerely!
