Which Stage of Cancer Qualifies for a One-Time Social Insurance Payment?
Article 4 of Circular 56/2017/TT-BYT prescribes the diseases eligible for one-time social insurance benefits, including:
Cancer, paralysis, cirrhosis with ascites, leprosy, severe tuberculosis, HIV infection that has progressed to AIDS, and simultaneously unable to control or perform activities such as walking, dressing, personal hygiene, and other daily personal needs without complete supervision, assistance, and care.
Diseases and disabilities other than those specified in Clause 1 of this Article that result in a reduction in labor capacity or a disability degree of 81% or more and an inability to control or perform activities such as walking, dressing, personal hygiene, and other daily personal needs without complete supervision, assistance, and care.
Thus, according to the above regulations, persons with cancer at any stage will be eligible to receive one-time social insurance benefits.
