Which Entities Are Permitted to Exploit and Utilize the National Database on Insurance?

The subjects for extracting and using the National Database on Insurance are stipulated in Article 10 of Decree 43/2021/ND-CP, specifically:

- Vietnam Social Security extracts and uses data from the National Database on Insurance to serve professional activities in the insurance sector.

- The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs extracts and uses data for state management in social insurance, employment, and social security.

- The Ministry of Health extracts and uses data for state management in the healthcare sector, including information and data on health insurance.

- The Office of the Government of Vietnam extracts data to serve the direction and administration of the Government of Vietnam and the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam.

- The Ministry of Information and Communications extracts and uses data to combine with other data sources to create additional information for advising and supporting policy issuance in the electronic and digital Government of Vietnam.

- The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense extract and use data for state management in the fields of security and defense.

- State management agencies, according to their functions and tasks, extract and use data for state management activities according to their authority.

- Agencies, organizations, and individuals are allowed to extract and use their own information; personal information of others if consented to by those individuals in accordance with the law.
