When does First Grade Student Health Insurance Take Effect?

According to the provisions of Clause 2 and Clause 7, Article 13 of Decree 146/2018/ND-CP:

- For subjects specified in Clause 7, Article 3 of this Decree:

+ In the case of children born before September 30: The health insurance card is valid until the end of September 30 of the year the child reaches 72 months of age;

+ In the case of children born after September 30: The health insurance card is valid until the end of the last day of the month the child reaches 72 months of age.

- For subjects specified in Clause 3, Article 4 of this Decree, it stipulates that the health insurance card is issued annually for students of general education institutions, including: for first-grade students: The validity period starts from October 1 of the first year of primary education;

According to the above regulation, since your child was born on February 25, 2014, the health insurance card will be valid until the end of September 30, 2020. Additionally, the health insurance card your child is issued upon entering first grade will be valid starting from October 1, 2020.
