When Changing Permanent Residence, Is It Mandatory to Change the Pension Receiving Location?
As stipulated in Article 115 of the Social Insurance Law 2014:
Article 115. Transfer of Pension and Social Insurance Benefits
Individuals currently receiving pensions or monthly social insurance benefits who relocate to a different place within the country and wish to receive social insurance benefits at their new place of residence must send a request to the social insurance agency where they are currently receiving benefits.
Within 5 working days from the date of receiving the request, the social insurance agency is responsible for processing it; if the request is not processed, a written response with explicit reasons must be provided.
=> Therefore, an individual receiving a pension who changes their permanent residence (household registration) is not required to change the place of receiving the pension unless they wish to do so. This is not a mandatory requirement.
Sincerely.
