The Difference in Funeral Allowance Levels Between Participants in Mandatory Social Insurance and Voluntary Social Insurance
Funeral support for individuals participating in compulsory social insurance is stipulated in Article 66 of the Law on Social Insurance 2014, accordingly:

As for individuals participating in voluntary social insurance, it is stipulated in Article 80 of this Law, accordingly:

Funeral support is equal to 10 times the statutory pay rate in the month that the person specified in Clause 1 of this Article dies.
Thus, whether participating in voluntary or compulsory social insurance, when eligible for funeral support according to the provisions of this Law, the individual responsible for the funeral will receive the same level of support, which is 10 times the statutory pay rate (currently equal to 14,900,000 VND).
