Is the Biological Sister of a Police Officer Eligible for Health Insurance?
According to Point a, Clause 2, Article 3 of Circular 57/2019/TT-BCA stipulating the subjects eligible for state budget coverage of health insurance, including:
Relatives of officers, soldiers (Relatives of officers, non-commissioned officers, conscripted soldiers who are working, serving in the People's Public Security, relatives of students of the People's Public Security who receive living expenses from the state budget), including:
+ Biological father, biological mother; biological father, biological mother of the spouse;
+ Legal guardians of oneself, of the spouse;
+ Spouse;
+ Biological children, legally adopted children from over 6 years old to under 18 years old;
+ Biological children, legally adopted children from 18 years old and above if still attending high school;
Thus, in the case that you are the biological sister of a police officer, you do not fall under the category of relatives of officers, soldiers mentioned above and therefore will not be eligible for health insurance covered by the state budget.
