Is it mandatory to record the full date of birth in the social insurance book?
According to Clause 1, Article 4, Decision 1035/QD-BHXH of 2015 on the regulations for recording, verifying, and closing the Social Insurance Book (SI Book), as follows:
Criteria for managing social insurance participants: Recorded in black text, using lowercase letters, font size 14, upright style.
- Social Insurance Number: Record the participant's identification number as regulated by the Social Insurance agency.
- Full Name: Record the participant's full name in uppercase letters.
- Date of Birth: Record the participant's date of birth. In case the day and month of birth cannot be determined, only the year of birth is recorded or if the day of birth cannot be determined, only the month and year of birth are recorded.
- Gender: Record as Male (or Female).
- Nationality: Record the participant's nationality.
- Identity Card/ Passport/ Citizenship Identification Number: Record the number on the participant's identity card. In cases where the participant possesses multiple documents, such as an identity card, passport, and citizenship identification card, prioritize recording the identity card number, followed by the passport, and then the citizenship identification card.
...
Thus, based on the above regulation, the SI Book will record the full date of birth information. If the day and month of birth are not available, only the year of birth will be recorded or if the day of birth cannot be determined, only the month and year of birth will be recorded.
Respectfully!
