In 2020, what is the funeral allowance benefit amount?
In Article 80 of the Social Insurance Law 2014, it is stipulated:
Funeral allowance is 10 times the statutory pay rate in the month that the person specified in Clause 1 of this Article dies.
Pursuant to Decree 38/2019/ND-CP, from July 1, 2019, the statutory pay rate is 1,490,000 VND. And according to Resolution 86/2019/QH14, starting from July 1, 2020, the statutory pay rate is raised to 1,600,000 VND.
Thus, the funeral allowance for social insurance participants who pass away
From January 2020 to the end of June 2020 is 1,490,000 * 10 = 14,900,000 VND
From July 2020 onwards is 1,600,000 * 10 = 16,000,000 VND.
