Is health insurance covered for a medical examination required for job applications?
Question:
According to the regulations, does a medical examination for obtaining a job application certificate qualify for health insurance coverage? Which document specifies the regulation? I am looking forward to an early response.
Answer:
As stipulated in Article 23 of the Law on Health Insurance 2008, amended by Clause 16, Article 1 of the Amended Law on Health Insurance 2014, there are provisions for cases not covered by health insurance. These include:
- Expenses in cases specified in Clause 1, Article 21, which have been covered by the state budget.- Convalescence and rehabilitation at convalescent and rehabilitation establishments.- Medical examinations.- Tests and diagnoses for pregnancy not aimed at treatment.- Use of assisted reproductive technologies, family planning services, abortion services except when pregnancy termination is necessary for the health of the fetus or the pregnant woman.- Use of cosmetic services.
...
Currently, the job application dossier will include a medical examination certificate. In cases of medical examinations, whether for obtaining a medical examination certificate or other purposes, health insurance benefits will not be covered.
