Female Student Born on December 16, 1966, When Should She Retire?
According to Clause 1, Article 4 of Decree 135/2020/ND-CP, it is stipulated as follows:
From January 1, 2021, the retirement age for employees working under normal conditions is 60 years and 03 months for male employees and 55 years and 04 months for female employees; thereafter, each year, the retirement age increases by 03 months for male employees until reaching 62 years in 2028 and increases by 04 months for female employees until reaching 60 years in 2035.
At the same time, in Appendix I, the roadmap for retirement age under normal working conditions attached to months, corresponding years of birth issued together with Decree 135/2020/ND-CP, specifies that female employees born in December 1966 will begin receiving a pension from September 2021.
With respect to the age milestone to calculate the number of years of early retirement as a basis for determining the reduction in the pension rate stipulated in Clause 3, Article 56 of the Law on Social Insurance, for each year of early retirement, the pension rate is reduced by 2%.
Thus, in the case of a woman born in December 1966, the retirement date is August 31, 2022, and the pension starts from September 2022. Additionally, if she retires one year early, the pension will be reduced by 2%.
Sincerely!
