Can a Lost Health Insurance Card Still Entitle You to Health Insurance Benefits?
According to the current legal provisions, the health insurance card will be reissued in the event of loss. The individual who lost the health insurance card must submit an application for reissuance.
Furthermore, Clause 3, Article 18 of the 2008 Health Insurance Law, amended by Clause 12, Article 1 of the 2014 Amended Health Insurance Law, stipulates the following:
Within 7 working days from the receipt of the application for reissuance, the health insurance organization must reissue the card to the insured person. During the waiting period for the card reissuance, the insured person still enjoys health insurance benefits.
=> Therefore, according to this regulation, during the waiting period for the reissuance of the card, the insured person still enjoys health insurance benefits.
