Calculation of Lump-sum Social Insurance for Discharged Soldiers in 2021

Receiving a one-time allowance and job creation allowance, discharged soldiers in 2021 are also entitled to a one-time social insurance payment. To be specific::

According to the provisions in Point e, Clause 1, Article 2 of the Social Insurance Law 2014, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the People's Army are subject to mandatory social insurance participation.

And according to Point d, Clause 1, Article 60 of the Social Insurance Law 2014, in the case of soldiers being discharged, if requested, they are entitled to a one-time social insurance payment.

The one-time social insurance payment is calculated based on the number of years of social insurance contributions, with each year receiving 2 months' average monthly salary of social insurance contributions.

The specific amount is: 2 x 2 x 1,490,000 = 5,960,000 VND.

It should be noted that if soldiers do not request to receive the one-time social insurance payment, the period of social insurance contributions during active service will be accumulated to calculate the pension later.
