03 Cases of Revocation of Health Insurance Cards
According to the provisions in Clause 1, Article 20 of the 2008 Health Insurance Law and supplemented by Clause 13, Article 1 of the 2014 Amended Health Insurance Law, health insurance cards are revoked in the following cases:
- Fraud in the issuance of health insurance cards;
- The individual named on the health insurance card no longer participates in health insurance.
- Duplicate issuance of health insurance cards.
Additionally, health insurance cards are temporarily seized in cases where an individual uses someone else's health insurance card for medical examination and treatment. The person whose health insurance card is temporarily seized is responsible for retrieving the card and paying any fines according to legal regulations.
