GVPT 15 on the application of information technology, exploitation, and use of technological equipment in teaching and educating students is a regular training module specified in Section 3 of the Regular Training Program for Teachers of General Education Institutions promulgated together with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT:
(1) Training module name: Application of information technology, exploitation, and use of technological equipment in teaching and educating students in general education institutions, part of the training requirements according to the Standards of Foreign Language or Ethnic Language Use, application of information technology, exploitation, and use of technological equipment in teaching and education.
(2) Main content of the module:
- Importance of using foreign languages or ethnic languages for teachers in general education institutions today.
- Resources for learning foreign languages or ethnic languages for teachers in general education institutions.
- Methods of self-study and selecting resources for learning foreign languages or ethnic languages to improve the effectiveness of foreign language or ethnic language use for teachers in general education institutions.
(3) Implementation duration: 20 periods (8 theory periods, 12 practice periods)
(4) Required achievements:
- Analyze the importance of using foreign languages or ethnic languages for teachers in general education institutions today;
- Select resources and apply self-study methods for foreign languages or ethnic languages to improve the effectiveness of their use for teachers in general education institutions;

Training target
The Regular Training Program for Teachers of General Education Institutions applies to teachers teaching at primary schools, lower secondary schools, high schools, multi-level schools, specialized schools, ethnic boarding schools, ethnic semi-boarding schools (hereinafter collectively referred to as general education institutions).

Content of the training program
The Regular Training Program for Teachers of General Education Institutions under the form of training according to the position requirements; updating compulsory annual professional knowledge and skills training, includes:

Regular training program to update professional knowledge and skills to meet the yearly academic mission requirements for levels of general education (called Training Program 01): The Ministry of Education and Training specifies each year's training contents on guidelines, policies on general education development, general education programs, contents of subjects, educational activities under the general education program.

According to Section 4 of the Regular Training Program for Teachers of General Education Institutions promulgated together with Circular 17/2019/TT-BGDDT:
IMPLEMENTATION GUIDANCE OF THE PROGRAM
1. The implementation of the Regular Training Program for Teachers of General Education Institutions includes 03 training programs specified at section III of this Program.
2. Training duration:
a) Each teacher of a general education institution implements the Regular Training Program with the specific durations as follows:
- Training Program 01: Approximately 01 week/school year (about 40 periods/school year);
- Training Program 02: Approximately 01 week/school year (about 40 periods/school year);
- Training Program 03: 01 week/school year (40 periods/school year);

The training program 03 requires a duration of 40 periods/year; the regular training module 15 has a duration of 20 periods; this training module only meets 50% of the periods needed for the training program 03.
Therefore, to ensure the duration requirement of training program 03, teachers need to choose additional modules (20 periods) to meet the required 40 periods.
