Writing Process

- Able to write an essay ensuring steps: preparation before writing (determining the topic, purpose, reader, form, gathering information, materials); finding ideas and creating an outline; writing the essay; reviewing and editing, learning from experience.

Writing Practice

- Write an essay recounting a trip or a social activity that left deep thoughts and feelings, utilizing descriptive or expressive elements or both in the text.

- Initially know how to compose a free verse poem (six or seven words). Write a passage recording feelings about a free verse poem.

- Write an argumentative essay on a life issue, presenting clearly the topic and writer's opinion (agreement or disagreement) on the issue, providing persuasive arguments and evidence.

- Write an analysis essay on a literary work: stating the theme; quoting and analyzing the effects of some distinctive artistic features used in the work.

- Write an explanatory text explaining a natural phenomenon or introducing a book; stating important information; presenting it clearly and convincingly.

- Write a petition on a life issue.
