What conditions must the primary school medical room in Vietnam meet?

Based on Clause 1, Article 8 Joint Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDDT, the primary school medical room must meet the following conditions:

- The school must have a separate medical room, ensuring adequate space and being conveniently located for first aid, emergency treatment, and student health care;

- The medical room must be equipped with at least one examination bed, patient bed, desk, chairs, equipment cabinet, standard working equipment, scale, measuring tape, blood pressure meter, thermometer, vision test chart, limb splints, and some essential medications for first aid and student health care, as prescribed in Decision 1221/QD-BYT in 2008;

- A medical examination log book according to Form A1/YTCS as stipulated in Circular 27/2014/TT-BYT; a student health monitoring log book according to Form No. 01 and an aggregate health status monitoring log book according to Form No. 02 stipulated in Appendix No. 01 issued together with Joint Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDDT.

What conditions must the primary school health personnel in Vietnam meet?

Based on Clause 2, Article 8 Joint Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDDT, the primary school health personnel must meet the following conditions:

- The health personnel must have professional qualifications of at least intermediate medical nurse level. Depending on local practical conditions, schools may either assign health personnel who meet these qualifications or contract with the commune health station, commune-level town, or a medical examination and treatment establishment from a multi-specialty clinic or higher to provide student health care;

- The health personnel must continually update their medical professional knowledge through workshops, training, education, and professional development organized by the health sector or the education sector to carry out the prescribed tasks;

- The health personnel must advise, organize, and implement tasks as stipulated in Articles 9 and 10 Joint Circular 13/2016/TTLT-BYT-BGDDT and other tasks assigned by the school administration.
