What are the sample paragraphs on giving opinions on a social phenomenon for 5th-grade students in Vietnam?

In life, there are many noteworthy social phenomena, ranging from beautiful actions to issues. Writing a paragraph expressing opinions on a social phenomenon not only helps 5th-grade students develop critical thinking skills but also allows them to express their views and thoughts on life's issues.

Students to refer to the following sample paragraphs on giving opinions on a social phenomenon:

Primary students bringing phones to school:

In my opinion, primary students should not bring phones to school. Phones can distract students, reducing their focus on studying. Moreover, primary students may not yet know how to use phones safely and responsibly. Phone usage can also cause issues regarding security and privacy for students. For these reasons, I do not agree with primary students bringing phones to school.

Some primary students swim in rivers, streams, or ponds:

In recent years, many tragic drowning accidents have occurred. So, is it safe for some primary students to often swim in rivers, streams, or ponds during the summer? Personally, I think it is not advisable and extremely dangerous for some primary students to gather and swim in such areas. This can result in consequences such as, firstly, their age is too young to possess the necessary drowning prevention skills. Secondly, they are not equipped with essential swimming skills. Thirdly, at this age, they are often hyperactive, making playing in water very dangerous and unsafe. Students can engage in water activities when supervised by adults or those skilled in handling dangerous situations but should never gather at rivers, streams, or ponds to play, and should not swim without adult consent and supervision to avoid undesirable incidents.

Whether 5th-grade students should ride bicycles to school:

What do you think, should 5th-grade students be allowed to ride bicycles to school? As a current 5th grader, I completely agree. Firstly, cycling to school helps us manage our time better, without having to wait for parents to pick us up or drop us off, especially on days with unexpected schedules. Secondly, cycling is an activity that greatly improves our health. If I ride my bicycle to school, I will have at least 20 to 30 minutes of exercise, no matter how busy the day is. Thirdly, being able to cycle to school independently boosts our confidence and self-discipline, as we manage our daily commutes and consider travel time. These benefits strongly support the idea of 5th-grade students cycling to school.

Some students cross the road without waiting for the green light:

Currently, there is a regrettable situation where some students cross the road before the traffic lights turn green. I strongly disagree with this behavior. Firstly, crossing the road without a green signal greatly increases the risk of traffic accidents. Secondly, this action confuses other road users in the opposite direction, making them suddenly need to brake or change directions, leading to unfortunate incidents. Thirdly, this behavior is a violation of road traffic safety laws, resulting in reprimands or even fines sent to the school. The rash actions can also mislead other less knowledgeable children into imitating, causing unfortunate consequences. Therefore, I hope all of us will strictly adhere to traffic safety laws and not cross the road when the light is not green.
