Vietnam: To ensure early access to vaccines against Covid-19 in the first quarter of 2021

Below is the remarkable content of Government of Vietnam's direction specified in Resolution 19/NQ-CP on the regular Government meeting in January 2021.

According to Vietnam's Resolution 19/NQ-CP, regarding the task of preventing and controlling the COVID-19 epidemic, the government requested the Ministry of Health of Vietnam to urgently implement the direction of the Prime Minister of Vietnam on the plan to buy foreign vaccines against the COVID-19 epidemic in accordance with Vietnam's conditions for early access by people in the first quarter of 2021; continue to accelerate research, development, and testing of Covid-19 vaccines in the country, giving priority to using domestic vaccines if the quality, standard, and price requirements are met.

At the same time, ministries, agencies, and localities closely monitor the situation, actively develop scenarios and situations, and prepare all appropriate plans and measures to be ready to respond promptly and effectively, to ensure rapid detection, and to take more drastic action to completely stamp out the epidemic in the shortest time.
